NAOMI ASHER LAUNCHES NEW MUSIC CONSULTANCY

London, May 2024: Former Sony Music Publishing UK executive Naomi Asher has recently launched her own music industry consulting service, Naomi Wallace Asher Ltd., for Music Rights including Neighbouring Rights; Master and Publishing Administration; Theatrical consultancy and other services, based in London and Los Angeles.

Until April 2024 Naomi was VP of Songwriter Services and Neighbouring Rights for Sony Music Publishing in London, responsible for a roster of over 500 'catalogue' writers ensuring they were looked after, and their music introduced to new audiences. Before that she was VP of International Neighbouring Rights (2020 - 2022) at Sony Music Publishing, increasing revenue and facilitating the merger into KNR.

From 2010-2020 she was President / Corporate Director at Wixen Music in London, having founded and led Wixen's first overseas branch to administer copyrights for the likes of Sir Tim Rice, Tom Petty, Sparks, UB40, the Doors and many others. An expert in the music industry eco-system, Naomi is intricately familiar with all aspects of US and UK copyright law which lead to her founding IAFAR, one of the first Neighbouring Rights trade associations in the world.

Naomi commented, "As a Neighbouring Rights Music and/or Music Publishing consultant, my role is to make life easier and help to maximise income for my clients. With over fifteen years of experience specifically on this side of this industry, I know where to look, what questions to ask, and how to best explain and examine any existing or potential issues. I see the big picture while also being able to dig into the details that make up this income stream. I know what questions to ask, what data to analyse, and where to go to find answers.
