SongLink has just received the sad news (via Gloria Bristow of Fenix Media) that legendary session drummer Bobby Graham has been diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. His doctors have now confirmed that he has a few weeks, at best, but the end could come at any moment. During the Sixties and early Seventies Bobby was one of the busiest session drummers on the scene, having played on virtually all of the Dave Clark Five records, the Walker Brothers, many of The Kinks and thousands of other records. A while ago he published his autobiography "The Session Man" and late last year met up with David Stark at PJ Proby's 70th birthday party at the Regents Park Marriott. If anyone would like to send best wishes or a card to Bobby, please email Gloria Bristow for the address at fenixmedia@btconnect.com.
Meanwhile SongLink sends sincere condolences to hit songwriter Rob Davis (formerly of Mud) whose wife Chris sadly died of cancer on Sunday May 10th. The funeral takes place on Thursday May 21st, please contact david@songlink.com for further details.
