SongLink > Songlink at City Showcase, June 8th 2007 *NEW FEATURE* The first SongLink Podcast, recorded June 8th 2007 at the Gibson Showroom in London during the Songwriting Masterclass hosted by David Stark as part of City Showcase 2007. The event was described by many as the best panel of the week, and features a stellar line-up of notable British songwriters talking about their work and playing examples, including: (in order of appearance): PLAY Click once on the button to stream... Graham Gouldman of 10cc performing "Bus Stop" which he wrote for The Hollies, and 10cc's classic "I'm Not In Love"; Charlie Dore, solo artist & writer for Celine Dion, Tina Turner, Jimmy Nail etc, performing  "Pilot Of The Airwaves"; John Peppard, co-writer of Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood's smash ballad duet "In Another's Eyes" performing  "Midnight Rain"; Rob Davis, former member of Mud and Darts who struck gold co-writing Kylie Minogue's mega-hit "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", performing  Grace's "It's Not Over"; and Peter Wright, a non-performing writer who had a No. 1 in Germany, "I Still Burn" by Tobias Regner, the demo of which was originally featured on the SongLink CD, Autumn 2005. Hear them all describe how their careers started, the breaks they had along the way, plus many tips and useful advice for anyone who is seriously interested in pursuing songwriting as  a career.
