DWB WRITERS CELEBRATE FOLLOWING SONGLINK INTROS

DWB Music Ltd recently held their Late-Summer BBQ at their HQ in Godalming, Surrey UK - an annual event which is fast becoming one not to be missed. This year DWB's team of writers gathered for food and drinks and to be entertained by two different acts being developed by the team. Many of the writers at the gathering were originally introduced through SongLink and David Stark, to whom DWB say "Thanks for that as always."

Recent signing Abi F. Jones took to the stage first, delivering a short set of co-written songs of her own that form the start of her album which is hoped to be completed by the turn of the year, and ready for shopping at Midem 2013. In between acts, Ian Curnow was presented the DWB Songwriter of the Year award for 2012, having secured releases for artists such as KATE RYAN (2 songs), KAYA JONES (former Pussycat Doll), KUMI KODA, BORN CRAIN and TIMOTHY JAMES amongst others.

Last to take to the stage were the the delightful Elle & the Pocket Belles delivering their own brand of vintage electro/swing. They performed a couple of covers and also their first new track, "Flick Of a Switch". Again the group are being developed by DWB in partnership with Z1 and Star Rock, with an album being made to shop to labels in the near future. Watch this space for the new artists, and DWB's team of writers who seem to be going from strength to strength in Asia and Europe, the intention is for these artists to put DWB on the map in the UK industry.
